PC – MAC – Linux

The IT Management Consulting Group has a very high success rate with hard drive data recovery. Our in-house technicians can recover data from myriad variety of hard drive crash – even with raid data recovery.  Also from some virus or logic-bomb attacks. Most recovery issues are solved without a clean room and at a rate that won’t break your budget.  Average billing time for data recovery is 3-5 hours. Hard drive repair can also be done on a wide variety of drives. IT Management has a very low minimum service fee that can be made available either through major credit card or cash deposit. At which point IT Management will work to retrieve your lost data. Our technicians will keep you posted on developments with the data-recovery process as they occur.  Further billable work will be done on an hourly basis unless requested not to do so.

What To Do When Disaster Happens

When you experience a data loss situation it is extremely important that you not act hastily to try to resolve the problem. Doing so can make matters worse and could result in the complete and permanent loss of your data. If you don’t understand what is happening with your system, don’t do anything but seek the advice of a hard drive data recovery professional. If your drive is making any unusual noises such as clicking, grinding or metal scraping, turn it off immediately! This condition typically indicates a head crash and major media damage. Hard disks spin at a high rate of speed, anywhere from 3200 to 10,000 revolutions per minute. Extensive damage can occur in a short period of time if a drive is left running, making the data irretrievable. In this situation it is best to turn off the system, remove the drive and bring it to our facilities for hard drive repair. If you’ve accidentally deleted files, emptied the Recycle Bin or Trash Can, don’t install any software or save additional files to your drive. Doing so may permanently overwrite the deleted items. If you are in the middle of a project when you discover files are missing, or you believe they have been deleted, save the current project to a floppy disk, or another storage device. Don’t write, install software, or save anything to the drive where the missing files were located. Although you probably won’t need hard drive repair, you will want to be save as rather than sorry. If you tempted to use commercial utility software such as Norton Utilities, and would like to attempt recovery on your own, you might render your data completely unrecoverable. We use high level recovery software costing thousands of dollars to recover data. In fact, some of the software we use is not for sale at any price! Amateurs Beware!!

Getting Started

Call us for a no cost rough idea on hard drive recovery, turn around time and success estimate. Inform us about the following:

1) What operating system you are running: Windows, DOS, Mac OS, Novell NetWare, or UNIX. If you are not sure, just tell us the model and make of your computer.

2) The physical capacity of your drive or other storage media that has failed. If you don’t know we’ll try to help you find out. The model number of the drive is also useful but not required. Raid data recovery is also available and it is recommended that the entire server is submitted with the drives and controller used when the failure occurred. Hard drive recovery is even possible when the fat table has been damaged!

3) If the drive is using compression such as DriveSpace, DoubleSpace, Stacker or Times Two. These programs compress the directory and work differently than file level compression like Zip, DiskDoubler or StuffIt archives.

4) If you are using any password protection or encryption software. We will need to know what program you are using, the version and the password.

5) About the current problem, any particular symptoms or steps that led to the situation. The more we know about your particular situation, the easier hard drive recovery will be.

Recovery Completion Process

In the event that the IT Management Consulting Group is able to do a hard drive repair and retrieve your files, we offer several means of returning them to you. Depending on the size and amount of recovered files,, they may be placed on floppy diskette, Flash Drive, USB External Drive, CD or DVD. They may also be placed directly onto a replacement hard drive, provided by IT Managemet, the customer, or a third party, such as the drive manufacturer or an extended warranty corporation. *Remember to BACK-UP often. Don’t take  chances with  important data! Hard drive recovery should not be your last resort!

In the past we have been supporting old plotters 10-15 year old HP’s because there simply was nothing on the market less expensive to replace them with.  Now, it looks like HP finally got the message.  Sure, we will continue to service you HP LaserJet printers and Plotters.   Yes, for the most part they are great and reliable machines.  But If we tell you to look for a new one you might really look for a new one and not just a refurbished 10 year old.  READ ON:

HP Transforms Large-format Printing Process with New Ergonomically Designed ePrinters

New HP Designjet ePrinters improve user experience for architecture, engineering, construction and design professionals

PALO ALTO, Calif. — HP today introduced two web-connected printers that transform the large-format printing process with a new ergonomic design, delivering an improved user experience for architecture, engineering, construction and design professionals.

Design professionals are more mobile than ever—moving among offices, job sites and airports. Additionally, the design process is highly collaborative, taking place between different teams and across different time zones.

The new HP Designjet T920 and T1500 ePrinter series are designed to help busy workgroups complete work efficiently and meet deadlines by printing correctly from the start with true print previews and delivering fast, high-quality prints. Additionally, these devices help users on the go access, view and print projects from the cloud so they can collaborate easily with remote teams.

HP designed the 36-inch devices based on extensive engagement with users early in the development process. Users proposed designs that addressed the pain points they suffer before, during and after the printing process. From this input, HP identified an output tray and true front-roll media loading as key areas for enhancement.

The integrated output stacking tray on the devices change the way users collect and organize large-format output.  The integrated output stacking tray is built in on top of the device and delivers flat, collated prints. This new output system improves productivity by reducing time spent searching through and organizing printouts, and it eliminates the need for users to bend down to collect prints.

Additionally, the new industrial design presents a flat surface on top of the devices, creating a media review table for easy, quick checking of printed plans. Built for against-the-wall operation, the true front-roll loading feature allows users to load media easily, even while seated. In addition to these new design features, the HP Designjet T920 and T1500 ePrinters deliver the fastest print speeds in the market.(1)

“With the HP Designjet T1500 ePrinter in-house, we can quickly turn around presentations and work up to the minute a proposal is due,” said Gerardo Salinas, partner, Rojkind Architects. “The printer’s ability to collate prints and organize the queue allows us to print drawings and plans more efficiently; my team has a competitive advantage and our business is faster and better.”

Improved user experience based on customer-driven innovation

For small to medium workgroups, the compact HP Designjet T920 ePrinter eliminates output clutter with an integrated stacking tray that collates up to 50 sheets of A4- to A0-size media. True front-roll loading and automatic paper roll alignment make media handling simple. The device operates at speeds up to 21 seconds per A1/D print and is equipped with 32 GB of virtual memory space to process complex files easily and deliver faster prints.(1)

Ideal for multiuser environments, the HP Designjet T1500 ePrinter is equipped with two rolls and features automatic alignment and smart switching capabilities to handle multiple jobs on different media types and sizes. Doubling the processing power over its predecessor, the HP Designjet T1500 ePrinter uses a parallel processor with a 320GB hard drive to print multiple files simultaneously.

The HP Designjet T920 and T1500 ePrinters feature an intuitive, full-color touch screen that gives users added control with the ability to manage job queues, track print costs(2) and view true print previews. With six Original HP inks and the HP printhead, the new series can produce dark blacks, true neutral grays, vivid colors and sharp lines.

“Our customers constantly seek more efficient and user-friendly tools to bring their ideas to life,” said Ramon Pastor, vice president and general manager, Large Format Printing, HP. “More than two decades after the launch of the first Designjet printer, HP continues to bring design, architecture, engineering and construction professionals large-format printing solutions with innovative features, such as the integrated stacking tray and true front-roll loading, that transform the in-house printing process as well as allow users more time for creativity.”

Printing from virtually anywhere with HP Designjet ePrint & Share(3)

The HP Designjet ePrinter portfolio features HP Designjet ePrint & Share, a free web service that makes it easy to access, view and print large-format documents using an Android or Apple tablet, a smartphone, a notebook or an ePrinter touch screen.(3)

Together with HP Designjet ePrint & Share, the web-connected HP Designjet T920 and T1500 ePrinters allow users to automatically save copies of projects to the cloud when printing.(3) Users also can email projects to print by attaching a PDF or other print-ready file to an email.(3) Customers can then send the file to the ePrinter’s dedicated address.

“The combination of the HP Designjet T920 ePrinter and HP Designjet ePrint & Share allows our firm to collaborate more easily across the globe, designing with partners without regard for geographic borders,” said Muhannad El Midani, project manager, SSH.

Pricing and availability

  • The HP Designjet T920 and T1500 ePrinter series are expected to be available worldwide beginning on July 8 for estimated list prices of $5,395 and $7,495, respectively.(4)
  • HP Designjet ePrint & Share is available at no additional cost for HP Designjet customers that create an account at www.hp.com/go/eprintandshare. The mobile application is available through Google Play and the Apple App Store.

The 2013 Microsoft Product Roadmap

Redmond Channel Partner magazine updates its comprehensive and authoritative annual roadmap of upcoming products from Microsoft over the coming year. Although 2012 was one of the biggest release years in a long time, Microsoft still has a lot of significant updates for the year ahead, including the rumored Windows “Blue,” the “Apollo Plus” update for Windows Phone 8 and the complete Office 2013 suite.
By Gladys Rama
June 13, 2013

RECENTLY UPDATED: Windows Embedded (6/13), Windows 8.1 (6/6), Exchange 2013 (6/4), BizTalk Server 2013 (6/3), Visual Studio (6/3)

Roadmap
Microsoft has a tough act to follow. The year 2012 was truly a banner one for Redmond, with some of the biggest product releases in the company’s history being launched in quick succession. The Windows OS had its most significant revamp in Windows 8, taking the OS firmly into the tablet arena for the first time. The Microsoft smartphone platform got fresh legs with the launch of Windows Phone 8, which now shares the same guts as the new desktop OS. At the same time, next-generation Dynamics products and SQL Server 2012 hit their general availability milestones during the year, and the releases of Windows Server 2012 and System Center 2012 set the stage for Redmond’s new “cloud OS” era.

By comparison, 2013 promises to be a lower-profile year in terms of Microsoft product releases, but that doesn’t mean it’s negligible. For one thing, the long-awaited Office 2013 suite — and the accompanying online components — are hitting general availability in the first quarter. For another, glimpses of the next major Windows update after the release of Windows 8 are likely to appear throughout the year.

In broader strokes, 2013 is expected to mark the beginning of a fundamental shift for Microsoft from being primarily a software company to being a “devices and services company,” as CEO Steve Ballmer described it. Ballmer’s assessment is also reflected in a recent report from consultancy Directions on Microsoft, which identifies tablets and cloud computing as leading priorities for the company in 2013.
